The Next Fighter Jet for Japan -- F-35
The Japanese government has chosen the F-35 Lightning II stealth jet as its next-generation fighter, which is going to replace Japan’s aging F-4s (Japan Times, 14 December 2011). Japan will acquire about 40 new jets including the: F/A-18 Hornet made by Boeing Co., European-designed Eurofighter, and F-35 made by Lockheed Martin in the US. The
US might allow to manufacture the fighter eventually. Some Chinese media claim that the Chinese J-20 stealth is better than F-35 stealth fighter. Japan
