COP 16 Concun Meeting
Mexico, became a major villain blocking progress as delegates sought to strike a deal on new steps to curb global warming on 11 December 2010. Japan Japan opposed setting a record of reduction commitments or post-2012 binding emission target under the pact. As a result, a debate on the future of the Kyoto Kyoto pact has been postponed until next year’s meeting in . Once again, another opportunity for Japanese leadership in the global stage has been lost by bureaucratic and irresponsible Japanese politicians.
After growing up and studying in China and Japan, Dr. Suganuma went to the U.S. for graduate studies, earning master’s degrees at both St. John's University (in Chinese studies) and Syracuse University (in international relations) as well as a Ph.D. (in geography) from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
