Western Media’s Bias/Is the Western Media Right?-I
In a Swiss resort, the World Economic Forum opened its annual meeting at Davos. After the Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang addressed the forum, the western media made extremely unfair and uncomfortable headlines regarding the speech. For example, “Vice-premier defends Chinese policy (Financial Times 28 January),” and “Chinese Leader Offers a Glimpse of the Future (New York Times 29 January),” These reports are biased. The Chinese leader does not need to “defend” anything for anyone because the Chinese economy in 2009 reached 8.7 percent in GPD. Where is the economic growth in the UK? What has Obama done for the American people since he took his office? Did Obama provide more jobs for the American people? Politicians and media might be able to “talk”, but citizens need to see the “results.” Where is the UK or the USA? Isn’t it time for Western media to criticize their own governments who have not done much for their people rather than ridiculous the Chinese?
