Threaten Ozawa’s Life/The Radical Japanese Right-wings-II
Many people know Japan is democratic nation, but not so many people know that the right-wings is threatening fundamental democratic principles in Japan. On 25 December 2009, the office of Ozawa Ichiro, DPJ Secretary General, received a package which contains a 8cm-long-bullet. This type of occurrence is not unusual in Japan, when a politicians or person speaks against the right-wing’s views. In a similar occurrence on 19 January 2010, the Democratic Party of Japan (DPJ) received mail containing a 9 mm diameter bullet and demanding the resignation of Ozawa Ichiro. On the same day, TV Asahi also received the envelope contains bullets. On 28 January 2010, DPJ and Ozawa’s office once again received the threaten mail that containing bullets. In the past, former prime minister Hosokawa was almost killed by the right-wing after he indicated that Japan was aggressive in WWII. When congressman Kato Koichi spoke out against Koizumi’s visiting Yasukuni Shrine, his 90s-year-old mother’s house was burned down by the right-wing in a few years ago.
