Japanese “George W. Bush”

People are remembering some classic gaffes by former President George W. Bush. Prime Minister Aso Taro is Japan’s "George W. Bush." He has failed during speeches to correctly pronounce certain words, many of them commonly used in daily Japanese. For instance, Aso Taro mispronounced the word "mizou" (unprecedented) as "mizo-yu," a non-word, and read the word “hinpan” (frequent) as "hanzatsu" (complicated). While the hawkish prime minister is known for some unapologetic remarks on Japan’s wartime past, he was acknowledged his negligence over the mispronunciations, "Those were just reading errors, just mistakes (Japan Times 14 November 2009)." Aso Taro might need to set aside his comic books for a while and begin to study some kanji (Japanese characters) daily. The Chinese media call Aso Taro as "Idiot" Prime Minister and are wondering if Japan will be okay.
